Meet Our Staff
Susan has been in the field of education for 18 years, and the child care field for 10. She has a Master's Degree in Religious Education, a certificate in Early Childhood education, and her registry credential in Early Childhood Administration. It's been her dream to own her own child care center and she is loving every moment. She wants to provide quality, affordable education and care to area families. Susan is a level 16 on the Wisconsin Early Childhood Registry.
Outer Space Teacher
Aimee has been in the child care field for over 20 years and has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been with My First Adventure since we opened. She works with our preschool and school age children and provides an interesting and challenging curriculum to keep their bodies and minds busy. Aimee's smile and energetic attitude make her classroom a great place for the kids. Aimee is a level 12 on the Wisconsin Early Childhood Registry.
The Beach Teacher
Lydia has logged many hours as a volunteer with Head Start and the Great Start Parent Coalition. Now she brings that experience to My First Adventure. You'll find her working in the two year old room and her kindness, sense of humor and love of play has won the children over. Lydia has completed all of her state required courses to be a Teacher and is attending NWTC to pursue her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. Lydia is a Level 7 on the Wisconsin Early Childhood Registry.
The Zoo Teacher
Emily has been in the field of Early Childhood Education for four years and has her Associate Degree from Fox Valley Technical College. Emily's endless ideas and enthusiasm make her classroom a fun and exciting place for one year olds. She combines nurture with structure giving their emerging independence the balance they need. Emily is a level 12 on the Wisconsin Early Childhood Registry and is continuing her education at UW Whitewater pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood with an emphasis in Special Education.
Teddy Bear Park Teacher
Anna has 6 years of experience in the Early Childhood field and has been with My First Adventure since we opened. She is gentle, nurturing and understands the ever changing world of infants. Her easy manner and calm approach makes her an amazing teacher for our littlest adventurers. Anna is a level 9 and has her Infant and Toddler Credential from the Wisconsin Early Childhood Registry
Cheyenne has 4 years of experience working with children and will graduate in the Spring of 2020 from Mid-State Technical College with her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Her youthful energy and "love to play" attitude is a huge hit with all the kiddos. Cheyenne wants to help every child be the best that they can be. Cheyenne is Currently a Level 11 on the Wisconsin Early Childhood Registry.
Sarah has four years of experience in Early Childhood Education and has completed all of her state required teaching courses including Infant and Toddler Care. You'll find Sarah's smiling face all over the center as she works in all rooms as needed. Her flexibility is appreciated and the children all know her well. Sarah is a level 5 on the Wisconsin Early Childhood Registry.
Ms. Becky has 28 years of teaching experience in first grade classrooms and childcare classrooms. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Becky's wisdom and gentle joy are a wonderful asset to My First Adventure. Right now she is floating from class to class, but she will be heading up our new preschool room when it opens. Ms Becky is a level 14 on the Wisconsin Early Childhood Registry.
The Zoo Assistant Teacher
Brennya's experience with child care began with her mom's in-home center and she learned quickly that she loved working with little kiddos. Brennya's desire to learn and sweet disposition partner well with Emily's gifts to create a amazing one year old team. Brennya has completed the courses Introduction to the Child Care Profession and Fundamentals of Infant Toddler Care. She is currently working on the final course on her path to become a certified teacher.
Teddy Bear Park
Ashley is new to the field of Early Childhood Education, but has settled right into the role of assisting Anna in caring for our infants. Ashley is a mother of four so she is already an expert in meeting their needs. She is currently working on her Assistant Teacher Course Introduction to Early Childhood Education.
Ms. Anna is entering the field of Early Childhood Education, bringing her experience as a CNA and a mother of two. Anna is always cheerful and ready to play and loves working with children in all classrooms. She has started working on her Assistant Teacher course, Introduction to the Child Care Profession.
Co-Owner/Building and Grounds
Roger is co-owner and Mr. Fix-it at My First Adventure. The kids love to see his truck pull up and they are always fascinated with whatever project he is working on. The kids call him, "Mr. Roger" and whenever something breaks or is damaged, they know who will fix it up.
